*Lucy will be available for adoption after 6/21/09 but we are accepting applications now* Lucy is a young female mini dachsund mix that is about 10 months old. We think she is a mix because her legs are a bit longer then a mini doxs should be, but that could also be the reason she was taken to the shelter too! She has a pretty black and tan smooth coat, weighs about 7 pounds and is very active! She loves the other dogs and playing in the yard with them. She likes people and is affectionate. If you know doxies, you know how affectionate and needy they can be and should be prepared for that. It is not something that goes away with the breed - they like attention!! Lucy is doing very well with her housetraining and has not made any mistakes yet! Because Lucy just came to us recently, she will need to stay in foster care for a little while so we can get to know her and place her in the right home.
