Sweet old Walter - what a crappy hand life has dealt him. He was a loyal companion to someone for over 10 years and then, to no fault of his, dumped at a shelter when he needed his person the most. Walter was part of our effort to help the dogs in our local shelter during the Covid 19 crisis. We took him on without a second thought. We soon discovered that Walter has stage 3 mass cell cancer and may only have a year or so left. Don't worry Walter If we can't find you a home to spend your final days in, you are welcome to be a forever Pixie. Walter is a quiet old guy who loves to spend his days laying in the sun in his yard. Walter is crate trained and housetrained. He is very good on a leash and loves to go for walks. He is a couch potato and would like a person that would want to watch tv and movies with! He loves popcorn!! Walter is very good in the car and likes to go for car rides. He is good with other low key dogs and does not mind cats. He does have some resourcing guarding issues, especially in his crate. But he is learning that there are enough bones for everyone and sharing is good! He is young at heart and an all-around well behaved dog. He still has his playful puppy moments too. Walter is now neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. Walter had several tumors removed and has stage 3 cancer. He takes one Benedryl a day at this point. His adoption fee is $100 so that he has a chance to find a good home for the rest of his days.
