Lady Presley is now available for adoption!  Presley is about 4 years old and weighs 17 pounds.  She Jack Russell Terrier mix.  Presley came from Texas, chained to an outdoor dog house for 4 long years.  Presley was heartworm positive and treated in Texas.  She has come a long way in the past few months and for that, we thank our rescue friends in Texas.  

Presley is such a nice dog.  She is calm and gentle, very loving and easily attached to her foster mom.  She loves to be pet and wags her tail when you are talking to her.  She is never far from her foster mom's side.  Presley likes other dogs and has just started to play with the ones in her foster home.  She doesn't seem to mind the cats in her foster home either.  She hasn't been tested with kids in NY but her Texas family said she loves them.  She walks nicely on a leash and gets super excited when she knows she is going somewhere.  She loves car rides and it is a great way to bond with her.  Presley appears to be housetrained but please expect some adjustment time for her.  She does well in the crate but we found we do not have to put her in one - she is gated off if her foster mom is going to be gone for a while. She is quiet and it seems, very grateful.   Presley's old life is all in the rearview mirror now - she is only looking forward to her new life in NY!

Presley is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and she has been treated for heartworm.  Presley will need to remain on monthly hw preventative for the rest of her life, which runs about $60 a year.  Presley's adoption fee is $350.  If you think you are a match for this sweet girl, please apply on our website!
