Well, the wait is finally over! The cheeseheads are available for adoption! They, along with Mama Brie, traveled all the way from Texas in search of their forever homes. Our rescue partners in Texas received a call one day about a young mom and her 10-day old pups. They were being left outside, in a cage, with no food or water. By the time our partners got to them, the puppies were covered in fleas, dehydrated, and full of parasites. They were rushed to the vet where they were treated, released, and placed in foster care in Texas. Our partners reached out to us and asked if anyone could foster. How could we possibly say no? I mean look at them all! Sweet as can be and happy to be loved. Brie has been an amazing mother to them and taught them well. Now it’s time for them all to find forever homes of their own. They are puppies, so they need the help of their family to continue to learn manners, house training, and leash training. They all have sweet, loving, gentle souls. They get along with other dogs and adore people. We believe they will be small breed dogs, based on their current size and mom. We do not know what dad was, possible a doxie mix since some have short stubby legs.  With proper care and attention, they can be amazing family members. It’s up to the adoptive families to make that happen.

 

 

Colby, our freckled nose boy,  on the other hand, is the largest one. He’s another who loves to play and wrestle. He may be his mama’s favorite since Brie can tussle with his the most. And he keeps coming back for more. Barking and roughhousing is so much fun to him. He can’t get enough of it. He’s learned to play tug-o-war, and man does Colby love it!

 

Colby will be vetted on 8/27 and will be available soon after.  His adoption fee is $400.  We are accepting applications now so if you think you would like to adopt, please apply on our website!
