Please allow us to introduce you to a most extraordinary gentleman – This is Rollo.  Rollo  is named after the first Viking King of France.  Such a high-class name is perfect for our classic, stylish senior dog.  Rollo is  about 11 years old – and owning it like a boss!  This is proof that some things only get better with age.

Rollo has thick dark brown fur – with some very distinguished graying around his face and muzzle.  Rollo has had some significant tooth extractions (which explains why his tongue sometimes hangs out of his mouth in such a sassy fashion!) but that does not impede his ability to eat his kibble nor does it impact his appetite.  He plays with all the dogs in his foster mom’s house.  Even when they play “chase” around the backyard.  Sometimes he is so far behind that he thinks he is first – but let me tell you that boy is still in the game!

Rollo is using potty pads while his foster mom is at work, but he knows to go potty outside when he is let outdoors.  Rollo sleeps through the entire night – no midnight bathroom breaks for this little man - and that gives you a wonderful full night’s sleep. He is not an excessive barker, but he will certainly let you know if there is something outside you need to be aware of.  He behaves like the perfect little gentleman that he is whenever company comes to your home and he has been properly introduced.  He is a joy to visit with.

He is not leash trained – yet.  His previous mama just let him outside to potty in her fenced yard.  The leash & harness are still strange to him, but he is getting better with it every day.  Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?!?

Rollo recently had a vet appointment and did very well.  He doesn’t mind a bath – no struggles in the sink, no meltdown when you try to dry him off with a towel.  He went to the dog salon to get his nails done and behaved like a dream.  He even kissed the groomer good-bye before he left.

Rollo has a loving, gentle disposition.  He would do well in a home with older children who can respect his age & his needs.  He would be great with another dog – in his foster mom’s house, he plays with the 1 year old puppy just as well as he cuddles with the 12 year old alpha female in residence.  His daily agenda is simple:  wake up, eat, sleep, play, sleep, cuddle, sleep, watch TV, sleep…for someone who is looking for a snuggle companion – Rollo is your man!

Rollo is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $125
