Introducing Miss Isabella Limoncello – just call her “Bella” for short

Bella is a 12 year old Chihuahua mix – but you would never know she was 12 by looking at her beautiful face or watching her run through the house! As we humans say, “Age is just a number” and Bella shows that this is true in her case as well.  Her fur is a soft, velvety mix of fawn & cream and she has deep, soulful brown eyes.  Bella was surrendered by her owner who was unable to care for her.  Bella is approximately 10 lbs and loves to cuddle.  She will sit for hours on your lap while you are on the computer, watching TV, or reading.  She is quiet until someone approaches the home – then she makes sure everyone knows that company is here.  She has a powerful bark coming out of that little body!   Once your guests have arrived, however, she settles right back down for a visit.  If you extend your arms to her, she raises her front paws to be picked up, just like a toddler – she will melt your heart. 

She walks on a leash with no problems & loves to be outside.  She does great riding in the car – and charms every single drive thru person she has ever met!  She is very good with a bath at home in the kitchen sink – no struggles & no fear of the sink sprayer.  She uses potty pads at her foster home since her doggie mom works, but does potty outside when she is taken out.  Her foster mom also sometimes finds her standing by the front door when she needs to go out. 

Bella likes to be the center of attention, but does fine sharing the spotlight when she has to.  She gets along well with the other 3 dogs in her foster home and recently began playing with the puppy. She gives the little one a run for her money & keeps up with all of them.  She has even started instigating the play herself.  The little one has her hands full with Miss Bella!  She loves to burrow & you will find her under the covers right next to you when its bed time.

Bella has had some age-related health issues & surgeries – like we all do as we get older – but she has bounced back like a champion.  Due to the fact that she was not spayed until she came to us, she developed a uterine growth that was removed at that time and found to be benign.  Just in time!  And she had her teeth cleaned too! The love of a senior dog is a very special gift & our golden baby is looking for her forever home with someone who is looking for a life-long companion.

Bella is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $200
