Lilac’s beautiful litter of puppies, who were born in rescue on 11/29/18, are accepting applications! 

Taro aka Snowbank kid was the first to be born!  He was literally born outside in a Snowbank as quite the surprise to his mom we think. He was the underdog for quite some time but he fought hard to keep up with his siblings and is now right up there in size and weight!  Taro is the snuggliest of the bunch and spent many hours in his foster moms lap as a small pup while she worked at home. Taro is energetic, playful, very smart, curious and always looking for something fun to do! Like his siblings Taro is a very busy boy and will require an active family and consistent training.  The puppies are NOT  housebroken but are working on pad training.  It has been to cold for them to be outside much so ALL basic training will be needed in their forever home.  Lilac (his mom) is just under 50 lbs so we are sure Taro will be around that size as well.  See below for standard traits and requirements from AKC about that breed:

All Australian Shepherds need a great deal of physical exercise and mental stimulation. Herding, advanced obedience, agility, jogging or biking, chasing balls, and playing Frisbee are constructive outlets for their enthusiasm. Boredom is the leading cause of destructive behavior and barking. Australian Shepherds are demanding of time and attention and want to be with you constantly.

We will not be adopting the puppies to an apartments. A fully fenced in yard is preferred, breed experience will be given priority.  If you think Taro  is a match for your home, please apply.
