Anika is a 7-month-old sheltie mix and sweet as can be. Anika was living in less than ideal conditions due to being part of an unwanted litter in Texas. She is a mix of Sheltie and Boxer we are told. We believe she will be a medium size dog when full grown.

When she arrived in Buffalo she relied heavily on her foster sisters to learn to trust her foster parents… you could tell love and affection was something very new to her. Within two days of a little convincing and some naps on the couch, she realized she was a big fan of the spoiled life. She is still working on some basic commands like sit and stay, but she knows to go potty outside. We have had a few accidents, but this is a brand-new concept, so she is catching on quickly! She is also crate trained and a natural on a leash. Anika has quickly learned to love her harness because it means a walk is in her future. Anika is tall and lean with a medium coat and a beautiful blend of white and tan colors weighing in at about 25-30 pounds. Her demeanor is very calm, but still has some puppy playfulness! She gets along great with her foster fur-siblings and has never been around cats. She does not live with any children but LOVES all the little ones in the neighborhood. A fenced in yard is preferred but not required. Our hope is to find a home for Anika that will continue working with her on her building her confidence and proper training routines. We think she would LOVE to have a sibling by her side…whether it be a fur sibling, child or both! Please expect there to be a transition period with house training and a new routine to learn.

Anika is spayed, up to date on all of her vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $350- If interested please apply online!
