Who is the cutest boy in the world?  It could quite possibly be Rocket.  This one year old boy has had the worst start to life.  There was an accident in his old home and he was mauled by a large dog causing life threatening injuries to this little guy.  He sustained multiple punctures to his body and a crushed upper palate which required multiple surgeries to repair.  Unfortunately in order to repair the damage Rocket has lost many teeth and the Cartilage supporting his nose leaving him with a crooked little smile.   We think this all adds character and makes him even cuter.  Despite having a small amount of teeth left he can eat small hard kibble and actually prefers if over canned.  He cannot have things like milk bones or rawhides but there are a lot of soft treat options out there that Work just fine.  Rocket is a high energy dog and he loves to run.  His favorite “game” is to chase the other dogs in the yard.  Another small playful dog would be preferred for his new home.  Rocket is wonderful with the people he loves and trusts but we do not want him placed with  kids as his first instinct is to try and bite strangers, especially men.  We have been working with Rocket and socializing him as much as we could in between surgeries but he is still pretty sure that he would like to keep his circle of friends small.  Rocket is crate trained for short periods and mostly housebroken although he will still have accidents sometimes in the house.  He loves to go for walks and is great in a leash.  He also likes car rides and especially Tim Hortons!
