Shepherd / Mixed (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Baby : : Large
This is Chief. He is a 5 month old Shepard mix who was found on the streets with his 3 siblings fending for themselves. Chief is an pretty laid back guy who will go along with the energy in the home. If you want to play he will be happy to comply but if you want to sit on the couch and watch TV he will be more then happy to lay on his back and enjoy endless belly rubs. He is very sweet and loves people and other dogs. Chief is crate trained and settles in quite nicely when you need him to. He has not had any accidents in the crate and very few in the house but of course a 4 month old puppy is a work in progress. Chief needs a lot of work on leash training since he is a little on the shyer side he pretty much lays on his back for most of his “walks” if that’s what you would like to call them. Chief doesn’t know any commands as he is still working on confidence and is very sensitive to any form of correction so he will need a patient family who is soft spoken and kind as that is what he responds to best. Chief has such a huge heart and such a willingness to please his person we think with a little work and helping him build his confidence he will be an amazing addition to any family. We do expect the litter to be on the larger side as they are all around 20-25 lbs at just 4 months old. We do strongly encourage you to provide formal training for your new family member fairly quickly as it’s much easier to work with a 20 pound puppy then a 50 lb adult. The litter won’t be ready until the first week of August but we are accepting applications now to get the process started. If you think Chief would be a fit for your home please apply. Chief is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated. His adoption fee is $350 - please apply online!
