Zita Pita has arrived in Buffalo! Some of you may remember this beauty from when she was found on the streets in Texas, covered in fleas, and with a broken leg.   Zita's back leg had to be  amputated.  But she made it to Buffalo, safety and into a great foster home!  It's amazing what some TLC can do for these babies. 

Zita Pita is all heeled up and has become one foxy lady!  If we hadn't seen the before pictures, we would never believe what she has gone through in her short life.  Zita Pita is a true love.  Her favorite things to do include, stalking her person, making sure you are never alone, laying in your lap, constantly touching you, and giving lots of kisses.  Zita loves to be held and give kisses.  Although Zita does well with other dogs, in true chihuahua fashion, she really does not want to share you if possible.  Her person is the center of her world.  Zita truly seems know that she was saved and wants to give you all her thanks.  Zita is crate trained and is working on her house training.  Zita does not feel confident enough to go outside alone and would prefer for you to accompany her.  When she goes outside, Zita will stand by your side to make sure you don't leave her.  Then, within a couple minutes, she will go potty.  Just don't leave her out alone, because then she will be too busy looking for you that she forgets what she is supposed to do.  That should change in time, once in her forever home and she is comfortable. Due to her petite size, Zita would do best in a home with older children (over 10), who can respect her size.
