Oh Charlie, what a life you have lived in your short one!  He is about 1 year old and listed as a shih tzu/poodle mix.  We think he looks more a schnauzer  then shih tzu lol. Who knows!  Charlie was originally adopted from a local shelter.  Well his family thought he was a bit much and instead of taking him back to the shelter- they left him in crate in a field!!!!  We could never imagine doing that to such a sweet dog! And we will make sure that Charlie finds the absolute right home that will love him forever just the way he is!

Charlie is fun boy!  He is sweet and affectionate and has lots of love to give!  He is always near his foster mom.  He does well with other dogs and really likes to play.  He is a bit of a cat chaser, nothing dangerous but is interested! And boy oh boy does he love to be outside!  He wants to be out all the time and will play the catch me if can game when it is time to come in occasionally.  We are working with him on this and he is getting better but it is still a game to him.  His new home should have a fenced yard and patience to continue working with him.  We were told he chews through harnesses and leashes but have not experienced that ourselves.  He is working on his housetraining but still has accidents.  Please have patience.  Charlie is not a fan of the crate (kinda can't blame him) but his foster mom has compromised with gating him in the kitchen at night and when not home and that is working well. He definitely is a work in progress and we think once he is in a stable home, it will all come together for him!  Charlie is a sweet boy with a whole new life in front of him - if you think you can be a good match, please apply!
