7 pups were left abandoned in rural Texas - the call was put out for help and we could not let them go to the shelter where they would have only 3 days to find a home before the worst imaginable thing would happen!  With the help of our friends, we got them into to homes until they were cleared to come to New York and New Lives!  Please meet the Pit Crew!!

Piston is the biggest of the crew, weighing in at a whopping 18 pounds! Piston is well socialized, loves people, especially children, and does well with other dogs. He is very playful, energetic and is easily entertained. He enjoys playing tug of war and chasing the ball-- sometimes he will even bring it back. Piston is very smart and needs to be kept busy. He is crate trained and does well in his crate for short periods of time as long as he has something to play with/chew on. He is doing great with house training but will need work and patience in his new home. At the end of a busy day, he loves to relax and cuddle with his foster family.   We ask that you initiate formal training upon adoption to ensure he becomes a well mannered dog.  It is very important to put the time into them now while they are young, small puppies and easy to handle as opposed to waiting until they are big and strong full grown dogs.  If you think you have the right home for Piston,  please apply.
