Learn more about the Chihuahua. Sometimes we are asked by local shelters to assist them with a dog that is not doing well in the shelter setting. This is the case for Coscu, or Coz as we like to call him. Coz found himself at the shelter when his family was moving and they were not able to take him with them. This was very sad for Coz. He was scared at the shelter and would hide in his kennel. Once he was in his foster home, we quickly discovered another side to Coz. He is nervous around new people initially, so a slow introduction and approach is needed. Once Coz knows that he is safe, he quickly becomes another dog. He is playful and energetic. He will play with you or by himself if you are busy. He is great with other dogs and kids. Talk about a dog that loves to be loved. Coz thinks the sun rises and sets around his person. It doesn't matter how long you are gone for, when Coz sees you, he will literally jump for joy until you pet him and hold him. He will make sure to give you lots of kisses to welcome you home and he gives the best hugs! At night, Coz will make sure you are kept warm because he has to be touching you while you sleep, almost to make sure you don't leave him. Coz is not great in the crate, but that's perfectly fine because when you are gone, he is content to left free or in a gated area. He is not a chewer nor does he bark much. Only when he is supposed. Coscu does well on a leash and enjoys going for walks. Oh and did we mention that he is housebroken? He also knows a few basic commands such and sit and come. What more could anyone ask for? Coscu is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg for heartworm. His adoption fee is $350
