Tammy Faye is a 5 year old English Bulldog rescued from an Amish Puppy Mill.  She has spent her life having litter after litter and when she needed medical attention, she was thrown away.  Not on our watch puppymillers, not on our watch.  

Tammy loves people and is so excited to get any kind of love and attention.  She has the best butt wiggle ever when she's happy.  And everyone LOVES a wiggle butt!  She gets along with other dogs but would prefer not to live with a puppy or young active dog that's in her face all the time as she's done with that life. She does guard her crate as she prefers not to share it but has otherwise done very well in her foster home.  Tammy will go outside to the bathroom but is not consistent.  She has known nothing but a cage so housebreaking is all new to her and it is like starting over with a puppy.  She is crate trained and willingly goes in for bed without a peep. She has started her leash training and surprisingly isn't bad but as in typical bulldog fashion when she's done - she's done.  In the home she had learned the couple stairs to go out and the doggy door fairly quick.  She can be a bit destructive (she is especially fascinated with the dishwasher) but takes correction well.  Again, a crate while not at home for her safety is an easy fix. Overall, Tammy is a good dog with a wonderful temperament.  Her personality comes out more and more and we love what we are seeing.  Please do your research on bulldogs before you apply to adopt as they are a harder breed riddled with health problems.  Special care of their eyes, skin and tail will be required as well as regular vet care. She will require a higher end grain free food and ointment for her eyes as she had entropion surgery and suffers from dry eye. 

Tammy Faye is now spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  She also has had entropian eye surgery and a dental!  Her adoption fee is $450 - If you think you can provide for Tammy please apply.
