American Eskimo Dog (long coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult
Learn more about the American Eskimo Dog. This beautiful girl is 9 year old Juno. She was surrendered from a puppy mill after being used for breeding her entire life. Even at 9 you can tell she had a very recent litter. She is now safe in rescue and looking forward to life as someone's cherished pet. Juno is so gorgeous with very soulful eyes and a smile that will light up a room. She is active and very curious about her surroundings. Unlike most mill dogs she isn't fearful of the normal hustle and bustle of a household but rather seems to enjoy all the activity. She is a bit stand offish of human touch and is afraid of being picked up but that is normal for where she came from - it will come with time. She does follow her foster everywhere and although she doesn't know what "petting" is she seems to enjoy her company. She is not housebroken as all she's ever knows is a cage but she's had very few accidents in the house as long as her foster mom is diligent about taking her out. She is crate trained although she doesn't love it she will settle down and go to sleep after a few minutes of crying. Although she doesn't require a specific kind of home we do think she will do best with a fenced in yard. Juno has been spayed, up to date on vaccines, tested neg for heart worm, microchipped and has been given a dental. Her adoption fee is $275. If you think you can provide Juno with a loving home please apply.
