Scruffy dogs are the best dogs!  Please meet Kevin!! Kevin is a 5 year old lab/terrier mix - we think he is a wheaton mix!  Kevin was surrendered to a local shelter and he needed more medical care then they could give - his ACL was torn.  We weren't going to let him down - we made him a Pixie!

Kevin is good with people and loves to be with his person all the time.  He is crate trained at night but for some reason he will break out of his crate during the day when he is left alone.  He is housebroken and loves to go for walks and car rides.  He gets along with other dogs as long as they are laid back as high energy dogs make him very anxious.  Kevin isn't destructive when left alone but he will open the fridge so you will need a child lock for his protection.  Kevin would make a great family dog as he's very loving and eager to please.  He would do better with a family who is home a lot as it really breaks his heart to be left alone.  He would not do well being left for long periods of time. Kevin was surrendered with two leg injuries.  Unfortunately the right leg is an old injury and unable to be repaired.  He walks with a limp but the vet said it is not causing him any pain.  The left ACL is repaired and he is recovering with light to little activity.  He is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, heartworm neg, flea/worm treated.  His adoption fee is $350.  If you think Kevin would be a good fit for your family please apply.
