Handsome Nigel, such a lovely gent! Nigel's owner passed away and he was brought to the vet to be euthanized. Well they didn't think he deserved that - he still has a lot of love and life in him! They reached out to Pixie Mamas and we agreed! Nigel has diabetes and requires 2 injections daily. Nigel walks very well on the leash and appears to be housetrained but there may be accidents as he adjusts to his new home and routine. Nigel likes people and is very friendly. He is good with other dogs - the other dogs should be ok if bumps into them though too! No issues with the felines in his foster home! Older, calmer kids would be fine - he is gentle but he doesn't want to be manhandled either. A fenced yard would be nice but not required. Nigel is a wonderful dog, he's had a lot of change in his life and is happy to be back in a home. He really loves his little dog bed! Nigel is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, heartworm neg. Since we did not know how long he went without insulin, he was hospitalized at Village Vet in Hamburg and his glucose levels were regulated. Nigel's insulin costs about $35 a month. We are asking for adoption fee of $100 in hopes of placing Nigel in his forever home soon.
