Learn more about the Cocker Spaniel. Contact Alice's Caretaker/Foster Directly: Chris Alice is a 9 year old cocker spaniel from a puppy mill. She was bred her entire life while she lived in a small cage with very little human contact. Alice developed a "mass" and therefore they had no further use for her. We weren't sure what that mass was but took her anyways figuring worst case scenerio she would be a hospice dog whom would at least know love at the end of her life. GOOD NEWS..... the mass is just a lipoma .... not uncommon for a dog her age and nothing to worry about. We are so happy for her and want her to find the best home ever where she will be loved and cherished as a cocker should. She is sweet but still very skittish. She would do better in a quiet home with another quiet dog as she doesn't like puppies or high energy dogs that jump on her (can't blame her). Young children would probably frighten her as well. Due to her being skittish we are using puppy pads at this time and just take her out on a leash for small periods of time to get her used to the big scary world. Housebreaking will take some time and patience so please be willing to put in the effort if you apply. With some love and a regular routine we thing Alice will make someone a very good companion. If you think Alice is the dog for you please apply she will be waiting. Alice is now spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, heartworm neg and has been given a dental. Her adoption fee is $250 - this does not even begin to cover her vet expenses but it will help! Please apply online if you are interested! Alice's adoption fee is now $200 due to a generous sponsorship!
Alice's adoption fee is now $150 due to yet another generous sponsorship!
