Learn more about the Shih Tzu.

Captain Jack Sparrow is a 6 year old , 10 pound male Shitzu puppy mill survivor. He had to have one of his eyes removed as the conditions of mill were not the greatest. Some say losing a eye would make him unadoptable-- his foster mommy says it actually makes him even cuter!

This handsome boy is so sweet and can be spunky! He loves to sit on your lap and loves to explore his new happy surroundings. Capt. Jack LOVES squeaky toys and at times can be found in his bed with 3-4 of them at once! He is a bit shy with humans, but warms up very quickly! He loves car rides, being brushed, and of course treats! Capt. Jack is working on potty training and walking on a leash-- until he masters that a quick correction on marking and he stops immediately . He allows you to pick him up with ease and will jump into your lap when called. He is a smart loving boy-- would do better in a home with another dog to follow their lead on how to do doggy things! Capt. Jack loves to play with his foster dog brother and sister as well! He ADORES children and has no reaction to cats in his foster home. Also gets along with dogs of all sizes.

Capt. Jack is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, and has been given a dental! His adoption fee is $275 - please apply on our website if you are interested in giving the Captain a home!
