Learn more about the Shih Tzu.

Clay is a 5 year old, 15 pound shitzu puppy mill survivor. He came into rescue very scared of every thing and every one. He has come so far already! He now gets excited to see humans and their touch, he has learned to play with toys and other pups! He has no reaction to the cat in his foster home. He is still very scared of the outdoors-- so a patient home is a MUST for this cutie pootie! He is pee pad trained and starting on leash training. When he gets scared or excited he will run in a circle- this is something commonly seen in puppy mill survivors. He does will w kids but older kids are prefered as this boy is still timid and learning the world is ok. We will also be requiring a fenced in yard for this boy, so he is safe and secure while learning to trust the outdoors. Another canine in the home to show him the ropes would also help build his confidence .

Clay is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, heartworm neg. and he has been given a dental! His adoption fee is $275 - please apply on our website if you are interested!
