Learn more about the Miniature Schnauzer. Just in time for a Merry Christmas, Alina is beginning to enjoy life now that she’s out of a puppy mill where she has been breeding for the past six YEARS!!! But look at those warm, trusting brown eyes and you will see her soul. Alina is a beautiful mini schnauzer, 6 years old and 14 pounds. Alina is sweet and eager to learn what love is about. She is crate trained and working on her leash skills. Foster Mom's perfect home would: Have one or two people to love her; An older child would be OK but unexpected movements make her very uneasy. Ideally the household would not be too full of commotion - she is still timid and needs time to learn what a home is like. Other smaller dogs would be OK. She plays with smaller dogs! The biggest challenge is that the ideal home MUST be willing to work with her potty training. She is still learning and will need time and patience. Her life has been confined to a cage so things like that come with time. Alina travels well in the car. She enjoys being outside, exploring the great big world! Wait until she sees snow for the first time! Alina should have a fenced yard. An adult puppy mill rescue does best with another dog in the home to give them a level of comfort and model behavior. Please research some of the challenges associated with puppy mill dogs. Alina is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested neg for heartworm. She also had her teeth cleaned and her dew claws removed because they were very dangly! Her adoption fee is $275 – please apply online if you are interested giving Alina the best present ever – A HOME!
