Darla is a sweet and gently little maltese!  She is about 6 years old and weighs just about 10 pounds.  Darla is a puppy mill rescue and is ready to start her new life as a pet!

Darla  also called Baby Lala by her foster family,  is a beautiful dog who reminds us of a stuffed toy come to  life.  She enjoys the company of other dogs and another little dog in the house would be ideal.  Older kids would be better for her due to less commotion.   She is sometimes suspicious of certain individuals and may bark but is never aggressive..  She is doing well with the  house breaking and puppy pads are recommend when home alone and confined in a space by expen or crate.  She has been uncrated since  arriving at her foster home but has been crate trained in the past.  She does have access to a  crate for privacy times.  She is a great dog to take for a ride and enjoys sitting alongside her favorite people.  She has not been leashed much but seems to accept and enjoy it.  A fenced yard would be required for her at this point though - to electric fences.  She loves meal time and pretends to  bury her food.  This is very entertaining.

Darla is spayed, up to date with vaccines, micrcochipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg for heartworm.  She has also been groomed!  She will need regular grooming about every 8 - 12 weeks so please take that into consideration.  Her adoption fee is $300 to help with her vetting costs.  If you are interested in adopting Darla, please apply on our websites!
