Learn more about the Chihuahua. Contact Peanut's Caretaker/Foster Directly: Foster Peanut is a pretty cool little dog! He is about 7 years old and 7 pounds. A long hair Chihuahua that was taken to a local shelter and he just about had a nervous breakdown there as do many small dogs. Peanut's ordinal owner passed away and although his family tried to take care of him, their hectic home life just was too stressful for him after so much change and confusion. Pixie Mamas was asked to help and we just couldn't say no! Once Peanut got into his foster home - he was a whole new dog! He really blossomed and showed his foster mom what a good boy he is! He is smart and loyal, a sweet little lap dog that listens well. He walks nicely on a leash and also loves to wander the yard and spend time outside as long as his foster mom is near by! Peanut is crate trained and is doing well on his house training - please expect accidents and adjustment time as he is newly neutered and just relearning his manners! Peanut is very good in the car. He is good with other dogs and has no issues with cats. He likes toys and likes chewies! Calmer, respectful kids are best if any in the home. He would be a wonderful companion for an older person or a great addition to a Chihuahua friendly home that would like to add to their pack of love! Peanut is now neutered, up to date with vaccines, micrcochipped, heartworm neg, flea/worm treated, and has been given a dental. His adoption fee is $200, please apply on our website if you are interested!
