6/6 - Mr. Touchy has been sponsored and his adoption fee is now $150!!!

 Oh Mr. Touchy - what a funny little dog you are.  How do you describe this cute thing?  We think he is a Chihuahua/Yorkie mix, very scruffy looking!  He is about 2 years old and weighs about 9 pounds!  He was found as stray and never claimed by his owner and then found his way to our rescue!

Mr. Touchy is as his name says - easily miffed!  He does not like his head touched too much, he prefers a to be pet on his body.  He is a bit sensitive around the head and ears.  He did have and ear infection when he first came to us but that is all cleared up now.  Mr. Touchy likes his person very much and will be very loyal to them!  He LOVES LOVES LOVES car rides and is so excited when he knows he is going somewhere with his foster mom.  He is very good in the car.  Mr. Touchy is crate trained and leash trained too!  He does well with housetraining and is always willing to go outside - please expect accidents initially.  Touchy is fine with other little dogs and has no issues with cats either.  He is very playful with people and loves toys!  Touchy likes to be outside and will find places to hang out!  He is a master of hiding in the basement and shed too!    He would do best in a home without kids - not that he would do anything but he would not want them to mess with him.  He is not that kind of dog - he is a quiet, laid back boy that is just happy to hang out and get some good lap time with his owner!  The ideal home would be a single person that leads a low key life and will take the time to let Touchy get comfortable.  He is a wonderful, quirky little guy that that will make a great companion.  We think he did not have a great life before coming to us and just needs the time to trust new people.  He is a completely different dog now then he was when he arrived  - time and love is all it takes and if you have that, you have it all!! 

Mr. Touchy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested neg, flea/worm treated and has been given a clean bill of health!  His adoption fee is $200 - $150  please apply online if you are interested in giving this cutie a new life!!
