Porkchop is a 10 month old, 8 lb. Shih Tzu/chihuahua mix that was surrendered by his owners to a local shelter.  The shelter staff thought he would do better in a home then the kennels so they asked us if we could help out - we couldn't resist that face!

Porkchop is leash and crate trained.  He is really doing well on his housetraining but he is still just a baby so we don't like to say he is officially housetrained!  He is very happy going outside and loves the yard!  He is good with the other foster dogs and does not have any issues with the cats in his foster home.  We were told he does not like people in hats or hoodies but have not seen any bad behavior yet with that.  Porkchop would do better with older kids (10+).  He is sweet and eager to be with his foster mom and family.  He is learning some basic commands but will still need training.  Porkchop is really cute and will make someone very happy!!

Porkchop is now neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested neg, flea/worm treated.  His adoption fee is $300 - this will help with the older, not so adoptable dogs we have in rescue!!  Please apply online if interested!
