Learn more about the Chihuahua. Contact Buttercup's Caretaker/Foster Directly: Foster Buttercup is a sweet little chihuahua girl, rescued from a shelter. She is about 4 or 5 years old and looks to have had many litters in her short little life. Buttercup is small, only 5 pounds but she should put on a little more weight now that she is out of the stressful shelter life and eating good food! Buttercup is very very sweet and lovable! She is a true little lap dog. She has started to run and play in the yard which is wonderful to see! Freedom - no more puppies! Chihuahuas like other little dogs so another little dog would be wonderful in her new home. She is good with other small dogs and has no issues with cats! Buttercup has not been very vocal here but when she does bark, it is very deep which is funny from such a little girl. She is crate trained and we will testing her leash skills soon. Buttercup's potty habits are very good! But she should still be given another option such as pee pads or papers when left alone. Please expect accidents too as with any new dog in any new situation. Buttercup is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested neg, & microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in making Buttercup part of your family, please fill out an application!
