Willie Wonka is a cute little yorkie mix - we think w/ poodle because of his docked tail and curl in his coat.  He is about 2 years old and weighs 8 pounds.   Poor little William was in rough shape when he arrived at his foster home.  He had a very long coat that was completely matted to him and he was very uncomfortable.  It is important to realize the attention a long hair dog requires  - daily brushing and grooming/hair cuts every 6-8 weeks. 

 
Willie is a bit shy, he needs a little coaxing but once he knows you and feels safe, he comes running for attention.  He is very sweet and will roll over for a belly rub whenever possible.  He is cautious around loud noises and loud people so a not so busy or loud home is best for Willie.   Willie will need an owner that is willing to put in a little time and patience with him initially - a little work goes a long way!  He is a little shy and submissive - nothing horrible, just a little time and love and he will come around.  A lot of it is just getting over the 'shelter shock' and being in a new home.  Willie likes other little dogs but can get carried away if there is too much action.  

 Willie is crate trained and he seems to be doing well on his potty manners but his foster mom is home a lot to let him outside.  Willie LOVES to be outside too!  A nice fenced yard that he can lounge around in would be ideal for our little guy. Willie is neutered, up to date with vaccinations, heartworm neg, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, groomed AND had a dental!  Wow!!   We are asking an adoption fee of $275 for Willie to help pay for the dental and other vetting he just had done.

• We DO NOT adopt out of state (including Canada) OR over 1 1/2 hours away from Buffalo, NY. NO exceptions. Please do not apply. (Any travel IN our adoption area is at the discretion of the foster home.)
