UPDATE: 8-10 Izzy has had a lot of interest but families need to understand what a dog like Izzy can be like. She is a climber. A chain link fence will not contain her, she will climb over it. She sits in window sills, that she either jumped into from the floor or that she climbed into from the dresser she jumped onto or climbed onto from the chair next to it. She has been found on the kitchen table. Yes, Izzy needs some boundries and some manners, but this is part of her spirit and what makes Izzy who she is. She is not for a home with precious things around. She is not a chewer or destructive, but she can be found on surfaces mostly reserved for cats;) Izzy would be great for someone looking for a dog to do agility or rally with as she is very smart. She would be a great dog for a family who likes to hike, has kids who have active schedules and want to take the dog along or families with gentle, busy kids who want a play partner out in the yard. She is a very sweet and obedient little dog who needs a family who is going to allow her to be her busy Izzy little self. 7-10 Izzy,,,,a high energy, never met a stranger, full of life and love, little nut! Izzy is a 1 1/2 year old little girl, only 8 lbs, who has some major spring in her step. She springs over gates and furniture if it is in the way of where she needs to be. And she NEEDS to be wherever her family is! Izzy is a VERY loving, VERY affectionate, VERY happy little dog who needs a family who is home a lot and who has plenty of people to love her. She is all about a lap, when she is not all about boinging and springing and happily prancing around the yard. All of this happiness from a little dog who has been shuffled and shuffled already, in her very short life. I think she is just thrilled to be here where we give her attention, she has other dogs to play with and plenty of laps to sit and cozy in. More pics to come. If you would like to adopt one of our "Pixies" you must fill out an application- it is the first step in the adoption process and we cannot move forward without a completed application.
We initially contact potential adopters via email with any additional questions or concerns. Please check your spam/junk folders.
We will call your vet's office for a reference - you must call them and give permission to release information to Pixie Mamas Rescue.

We DO NOT adopt out of state (including Canada) OR over 1 1/2 hours away from Buffalo, NY. NO exceptions. Please do not apply. (Any travel IN our adoption area is at the discretion of the foster home.)
