Bernese Mountain Dog / Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed (long coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Baby : : Medium
Learn more about the Bernese Mountain Dog. Reggie is now available for adoption! He is an adorable mini Bernadoodle, approximately 4.5 months old and currently weighs 16 pounds. We anticipate that he will grow to be around 35-40 pounds when fully grown. Reggie is a breeder release due to a condition called microphthalmos, which is characterized by a small or recessed eye. Despite having vision loss in that eye, he is a happy little pup who gets around just fine and doesn't seem to be affected in any way. Reggie is a happy and fun-loving puppy! He loves to be with other dogs and enjoys playing endlessly. Being young, he will need some training, but the good news is that he is smart and eager to please. With dedicated attention, we believe he will quickly pick up new skills.
Reggie loves everyone he meets—both kids and adults. He is making great progress with his housetraining, but like any puppy, he will require more training and may have a few accidents along the way, so patience is key. He absolutely loves being outside and enjoys playing in the fully fenced yard at his foster home.
Since he is not yet leash trained, this will be an important skill to work on if his new home does not have a fenced yard. Reggie has a big bark and loves to hear himself bark! For this reason, apartments may not be a suitable living situation for him.
Reggie is quite the playful little rascal, seeing everything as a potential toy or game. Remember, he is just a baby discovering the joys of home life, so he will need your time, love, and patience to blossom into a fantastic companion.
Reggie has been professionally groomed and will need regular grooming every couple of months to keep him looking his best.
We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog’s safety and security. Reggie is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped, and has seen a veterinarian for a diagnosis regarding his eye. His adoption fee is $700, which will contribute to the care of all the wonderful dogs in our rescue that have been waiting a long time for their forever families or our dedicated foster homes.
