Sterling is ready for adoption!  This handsome dog is a 1 year old Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier that was recently released from a breeder.  He is 33 pounds and fully grown!

Sterling is a fantastic dog - super playful, happy, and smart! He's still learning the ropes and is eager to please. Since he spent most of his life in a barn, we're treating him like a puppy when it comes to training. The good news is he's already getting the hang of walking on a leash and is doing great. We're also working on crate training, but sometimes he'll bark when he wants out.

While Sterling is a smart boy who learns quickly, it's important to remember that he'll still need some training in his new home. There might be a few challenges as he adjusts to his new environment and routine, particularly with housetraining. However, with your love and patience, he'll adapt in no time!

Sterling is a happy boy and loves to play in the yard with his friends. He has a fully fenced yard in his foster home which is a big help with housetraining.  No invisible fences in his future home though. Sterling loves toys, but being a typical terrier, he can make quick work of them! He's really good with people and has a gentle nature. Although he can be a bit submissive, he's learning to trust and love people and adjusting well to his foster home's busy environment.  He is affectionate and will give your hands little kisses when you aren't looking - he just wants to be loved! Things are going great for him now, and we're confident that he'll flourish in his new home! Do keep in mind that Sterling will need regular grooming once his coat grows back.
