 Loki is a local guy, surrendered to a shelter by someone who found him wandering around outside. Loki is about 3 years old and weighs 10 pounds.  He is a Pomeranian/chihuahua mix.  Oh, and did we mention he is adorable!

We knew Loki had special needs when we welcomed him into our rescue. His back legs are a little weak and wobbly, so he sometimes struggles to walk and may take a tumble. Loki is currently living in a senior dog home and he has the run of the house. He absolutely adores his foster mom and he goes crazy for chewy treats, especially the turkey jerky ones. Loki loves snuggling up in the little round beds in his foster home, and every now and then, he likes to have some playtime by tossing around his toys. He needs to take medication for the rest of his life, and we are dedicated to keeping him safe and happy.

Caring for a special needs dog is not for everyone but it is very rewarding just the same. If you can do one thing in honor of Loki please consider adopting a senior or special needs dog. If you can’t adopt and can, please donate to their care. They do require a lot of “extras” to make their last years, months or even days on earth special and deserve every single one.

  • All animals breeds & ages are 'to our best our knowledge'

  • We DO NOT adopt out of state (including Canada) OR over 1 1/2 hours away from Buffalo, NY. NO exceptions. Please do not apply. (Any travel IN our adoption area is at the discretion of the foster home.)
