Little Sparticus aka Sparky is looking for his forever home!  Sparky is a local little dog that was found as a stray and never claimed.  He was in rough shape, very matted and dirty.  With the shelter overflowing with dogs, Sparky was scooped up into rescue!  We know he is a poodle mix but we aren't sure of the breed mix.  It looks like there is some black on his ears and face and his coat could be grey now that it is growing back after being shaved down.  He is about 8 years old and weighs about 7 pounds!

Little Sparky has a great big personality!  He also has a bark to match his personality lol.  He is a smart little dog, learning the routine of his foster home and his new name fast.  Most of the time he can be found lounging in his bed, happy to sleep the day away.  But if you want to go outside or for a walk, he is ready and willing.  He is happiest getting treats or hoping something falls to the ground when you are in the kitchen!  Food time is definitely his favorite time of the day.  Sparky is crate trained.  He is doing well on his housetraining and someone worked with him in his past.  He will need some adjustment time in his new home though to get used to a new routine.  Sparky does fine with other dogs and did well with kids over the age of 12.  He likes to lay around the office when his foster mom is working.  He is good in the car and loved getting a treat at Tim Horton's when they were running errands.  Sparky likes watching his foster mom tend to her garden but isn't much of a help out there other than to tell her that the mailman stopped by.  Sparky has a fully fenced yard in his foster home which helps him enjoy the yard.  He would be a great match for a person or couple that wants a laid-back little dog with just a touch of spunk to keep you on your toes!  Sparky will need to be groomed regularly throughout his life so please keep that in mind if you are considering adopting a poodle mix.  

Sparky is now neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  He has had bloodwork and a dental with extractions and has been professionally groomed!  His adoption fee is $400 to help with his medical costs.
