"We don't talk about Bruno no no no" Nevermind that - yes we will! Bruno is a local boy from our wonderful city shelter! He was abandoned by his owner when they moved and was left on the streets to fend for himself for a month (yeah, we know). A neighbor finally took him to the shelter and knew his name and a bit about him. Bruno is about 8 years old weighs about 13 pounds or so. We are not 100% sure of his breed mix but our (and our vet's!) guess is a poodle and maybe lhasa mix. His coat is soft and appears non-shedding. Bruno is such a happy dog! He is very social with people and is falls in love fast. He loves affection and will put his head under your hand to get some extra pets. He likes it when company comes to visit! Bruno likes to be in the same room as his foster mom and will quietly snooze on a bed, waiting for a sign to come and get some pets! He enjoys being brushed and will happily sit as she gussies him up. Bruno is fine with other dogs and can be playful too - especially outside. He will give them a firm 'get away' if he is relaxing and there is too much activity around him though. He seems ok with cats - he has limited interaction with them but does not seem too interested. Bruno has a big bark and gets very excited at times - like when his foster mom comes home or wakes up in the morning. So apartments may not be ideal if you have close neighbors. Bruno walks well on a leash and loves to go for walks. He does have a fenced yard in his foster home and that is how he is pottied right now but does potty on a leash too. Housetraining is coming along - still has accidents. He was recently neutered so it should help. Bruno is nicely crate trained. This boy can be your couch potato dog, watching tv and watching you work but is always ready for a walk around the neighborhood when you are! He is a nice mix of chill and active. Bruno's right eye was damaged at one point - we are guessing when he was on the streets because he came to the shelter with it like that. It has healed nicely over the months in rescue and does not need enucleation at this point. He does have limited vision in that eye though but it does not affect him at all. He gets around just fine! Bruno has also been professionally groomed and will require regular grooming. He is very good when being groomed too. Bruno is now neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. He has also had a dental. Bruno's adoption fee is $350 to help cover his medical bills.
