Ruby Red came to us very pregnant from Texas after her human mom, unfortunately, passed away.  She gave birth to her 8 beautiful Rainbow Puppies on October 19th! Red is a Chiweenie and about 12 lbs!  Red has been a wonderful little mama and is now ready to find a home of her own. 

As far as temperament goes you will not find a better dog than Red.  She loves people, she loves kids so much, no one is a stranger to Red! She has been around a 10-year-old and a 9-month-old and couldn’t get enough of either.  She spent more time in the baby's lap than she did ours letting her hold her paw. She is fostered with many other dogs and has only disliked one visitor dog (A very large, very active black lab).  She has been around another large dog and tons of medium and small dogs without any issues so we believe it was that dog specifically.

Red is playful at times and so loving to both people and other animals.  She is also a couch potato so if you want a buddy to watch TV with she is your girl! She is mostly housebroken with a few accidents in the house overnight.  She is a total lap dog and sleeps at the end of your bed or in a dog bed on the floor when she gets too warm. 

Red is leash trained and walks nicely alongside her person!   She is crate trained although it’s not her favorite.  We have had her gated in the puppy room until this past month and have since left her loose.  You do have to keep your shoes and paper products up though because she will get them.  Otherwise, she is a very well-behaved dog. 

She is not overly vocal however she does have a loud bark when she does do it.  She is cooperative with grooming and is just an easy-going dog overall.  Red will fit in almost any household as long as there is someone to love her!  

Red is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $400
