Schnauzer / Mixed : : Female (spayed) : : Young : : Small
Learn more about the Schnauzer. Sweet Daisy is ready for her forever home. Daisy was a previous pixie who was recently returned. Her previous owners did everything they could to help her, but sadly their other dog did not like Daisy. They found it best to return her so she could find her happy ever after. Daisy originally came to us from Texas at 6 months old. And here she is again looking for the perfect place for her to continue to grow.
Daisy is a great little girl. She absolutely loves her person. She thinks the sun rises and sets around them! It may take Daisy a little bit to truly warm up and open up to her family, but once she does, you will never be lonely. Daisy is crate trained and almost housebroken. She's doing excellent but of course,f accidents may happen until she learns the routine. She is very smart too! Daisy already knows some basic commands such as sit and come. She is very food motivated, which makes training a piece of cake. Daisy is excellent on a leash. Walks are so much fun. She’s ready to go go go. Since she’s good on a leash, a fenced yard will not be required, but please no electric fences. Daisy is also great in a car. She will sit in the seat right next to you and not say a word. Just happy as can be.
Daisy gets along well with other dogs, but she prefers dogs around her size. When the bigger dogs run at her, Daisy gets afraid and cowers. She has lived with big dogs, it just takes her longer to adjust to their type of play and size. Daisy also likes children and has lived with kids as young as 5. But again it will take her time to warm up to them and learn to trust. Daisy is shy that’s all. She has been through a lot at her young age, so trust does not come easily for her. Daisy does not seem to like cats, so we are asking for a home without them. It’s the best way to keep everyone safe. She tends to chase them and harass cats. Daisy has also found her voice. In typical terrier fashion, Daisy will alert you as soon as someone approaches your home. Apartment life is not for this girl. She has a loud deep bark.
Keep in mind Daisy is still a puppy and needs a home that can devote the time to continue to train and work with Daisy. When her people come home. Daisy will jump and leap high in the air. She’s not trying to be mean, she’s just so excited to see you. Sometimes she will bite your shirt for attention. We are working on that, but it’s all in puppy play. Speaking of play, Daisy loves the toys! She will play with anything from a Kong to a squeaky toy, to a ball. Just a happy little girl. If you think you have the home to nurture Daisy and help her bloom, make sure you apply today! Daisy is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested neg. for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450
