Pop Tart is available for adoption!  He is a happy little dachshund mix, 4 years old and 11 pounds.  He came to us from Texas with his brothers.  They were abandoned in a trailer, we don't know for how long.  But they were in rough shape and our rescue friends in Texas got them back to health and off to Buffalo to find new homes!

Pop Tart is a lover - he loves to get attention from his foster mom and love to be held.  His favorite spot in the house is in a bed under covers and trying to stay warm.  This Buffalo weather is taking some getting used to!  He is good with other dogs but barks at the cats in the house a bit  He listens to his foster mom when she tells him to stop though.  Pop Tart is good in a crate and sleeps through the night.  Pop Tart does amazingly well on the leash for as little training he has had!  We are so proud of him.  He gets very excited when he sees the leash and always is up for a walk or adventure.    Since he was living with no access to outside and not neutered, he will need some additional work on his housetraining.  Now that he is neutered, it is a step in the right direction.  We think with some focus on him alone, he will get into a good routine soon.  Pop Tart has not been introduced to kids in his foster home but we do not see any issues at this point. Pop Tart loves treats and is food motivated!  He is a nice little boy who will make a great addition to almost any home! 

Pop Tart is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $400
