Attention Doodle Lovers!! Rudy the Mini Doodle is available for adoption!  Rudy came to us from Texas where he was no longer wanted - can you believe that?!  We are guessing that he is mixed with golden retriever.   He is about 18 months old and only weighs 20 pounds.  

Rudy is a fun and active boy!  He loves to wrestle with his foster brothers and run outside with them.  He is very active so a fully fenced yard would be ideal and preferred for him (no invisible fences).  He is good with other dogs and has no issues with the cats in his foster home when he was introduced to them.  Kids would be fine and welcome!  Rudy is working on his housetraining - we do not know his background but since he has come into our rescue it has improved due to consistency and positive reinforcement.   Please understand he will need additional training and time when he goes to his new home.  Rudy is crate trained and sleeps through the night and while his foster mom is away  He walks nicely on a leash too.  Rudy will sometimes cower if he thinks he's in trouble so some patience will be needed to let him know he is loved and not going to be hurt.  He is very smart and knows some basic commands!  Rudy is eager to please and wants nothing more than to be loved and to love his people. He listens well and is just a good-natured, happy boy.   Rudy will require regular grooming throughout his life so please take that into consideration.  Doodles are "unicorns" in the rescue world so this boy will be scooped up fast - get your application in soon!

Rudy is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $600 to help with our medical, hospice and long term foster dogs in our rescue!
