What is a 6-letter word for Love?  If you are a crossword puzzle junkie and you Googled that, you get options like admire, cherub, desire.  We have a better answer - the best 6-letter word for love is MAIZIE!

Maizie is a 6 year old Chihuahua who recently came to Western New York from Texas.  She is a curvy girl – but who doesn’t love a few curves??  Curvy girls rule the world – just ask Beyoncé!!  Maizie has a very unique white mask on her face, making the most of her deep, chocolate brown eyes.  No contouring and highlighting on this little lady. Her natural beauty shines inside and out.

She is also overflowing with kisses and cuddles.  Is there such a thing as too many kisses?  Maizie doesn’t think so.  She wants to be picked up, carried, and held close.  And she wants kisses!  From everybody.  All the time.  Her life is a non-stop love fest.  She is super friendly and outgoing. She has a very relaxed and easy-going spirit.  If the other dogs in her foster home are barking, she might join in.  Maybe, maybe not.  If the other dogs see a squirrel in the trees in the backyard and are racing around like crazy, she may join in the chase.  Maybe, but probably not – that is a lot of effort and this girl needs a really good reason to move that fast.   She would much rather be sitting in a patio chair watching the others run.  If they made doggie margaritas, she would be having one with her feet up.

Maizie loves to be outside and is going potty outside with the rest of the dogs in her foster home.  This is a new environment, however, and she is doing some “female marking”.  Little tiny pees all over the yard.  Mine.  Mine.  This is mine.  That is mine too.  Oh, don’t forget that thing.  That thing is mine as well.  So she is always the last one to come back into the house.  Patience is required when this hippy chick goes potty.  Her forever home will also be a new environment, so please be patient if there are accidents inside and a slow-motion potty outside.  She needs time to learn the routine and put the pieces together.

Maizie does great on a leash.  She loves to walk and strut her stuff.  She did fine with cats.  She has not been tested with children, but we believe older kids who can respect her space and her size should not be a problem.

Maizie is a simple, easy going gal – good food, good friends, and good times.  She brings out the best in everyone who meets her and spreads fur-covered joy everyplace she goes.  She wants to be with her people.  She will stream video with you, snuggled on your lap for hours.  She will supervise your kitchen skills when you make dinner (and clean up anything that might drop on the floor!).  She will guard the bathroom door when you go in to shower, sitting patiently on the bathmat until you emerge safely.  She wants to sleep on your pillow, but will settle for nestled into your shoulder if need be.  It can’t be said any simpler – Maizie is love.  A big bundle of love.  It just doesn’t get any better than that.

Maizie is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg for heartworm.  She also has had a dental!  Her adoption fee is $350
