The time has finally come! Mama Willow is cleared for adoption! She is the mother of the champion puppies, that were placed up for adoption last week. If you loved their little faces, you will absolutely love Willow. I mean just look at her, her beautiful pups look just like her. And why a personality! This beauty will be a perfect addition to just about any home. Willow was dumped at a high-kill shelter in Texas,  where struggled to feed and protect her pups.  Rescued hours before they were scheduled for death, this little family was whisked off to Buffalo to start a new life.  Shortly after arrival, Mama Willow was diagnosed with Parvo, a vicious and deadly disease – easily prevented by a vaccine she was never given.  Her pups were taken from her for their own safety as she fought for her life in the vet hospital.  Not only did she have parvo, but she also had mastitis, which actually caused one of her mammary glands to rupture. We were uncertain if she would make it or not, Willow proved how much of a fighter she truly is. She has beat the odds and is ready to live her happily ever after.

Willow is a wonderful little ray of sunshine. She has quickly become everyone’s best friend in her foster home. She has a charm and way about her to win everyone's heart. Willow is confident around people and other dogs. Willow has not been around cats so we are unsure of how she will react with them.  This little lady is full of energy and fun. She loves to play and wrestle with her fur siblings. Willow has been known to get even the most lazy dogs to get up and chase her. There are times that Willow can be a little too rough with the other dogs. If they cry she will quickly back off and tuck her tail between her legs. She doesn’t mean to hurt them, and clearly feels bad when she does.  Willow loves to play. She will have her human friends throw the toy over and over again, bringing it back every time and dropping it at your feet. Willow is crate trained, but she rarely spends time in it. In fact even when her foster family is gone at work all day, Willow is lose in the house. She appears to be house broken, although accidents are expected in a new situation, until she learns your routine. At night Willow will curl up in a ball at the foot of your bed, or cuddle up in your arms. Willow has such soulful eyes, that you just melt when she looks at you, especially when you know all that she has endured at a young age.

The ideal home for Willow would include lots and lots of toys. Due to her high activity level, she would due best in a home with a fenced in yard (no electric fences) so she can run and run. She wants an active family with possibly another dog, to keep her busy and happy. Willow does very well on a leash, so if you don’t have a fence, she will require several long walks a day to tire her out. Willow is not a big barker, and at her age, Willow is well past the destructive chewing stage.  If you think you can provide Willow with a life long loving home, make sure you apply today.

Willow is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $400
