Ripley is a year old Sheltie!  He is about 23 pounds.  He came to us from Texas Heart worm positive.  He has completed the treatment and is now looking for his forever home!  Ripley is otherwise a healthy boy but will need to be on monthly preventative for his lifetime! 

Ripley is a great dog.  He belonged to someone as he is extremely social and well behaved.  He is fostered with other dogs and has no problems with them.  He is playful sometimes but not crazy energy.  He has not been introduced to cats while he has been with Our rescue.  

Ripley has never had an accident in the home with a doggy door and fenced in yard.  He also walks well on a leash and enjoys going.  Ripley is crate trained however he doesn’t like it - especially after spending weeks in it post heartworm treatment.  He is good in the car and sits shot gun quiet as a mouse.  

Ripley is not a big barker as long as someone is home but he does cry and howl at times when you leave.  He has been around a 9 year old child and seems to love kids.  

He is a very smart, sweet and loving dog who will make a great companion.  He enjoys people and is friendly to everyone.  He gets very excited when you come home often jumping very high and biting the air. It is pretty funny.  

Most of the time you can find Ripley sitting by his fosters side on the couch.  He is a wonderful dog and the perfect size.  He does have a long coat and will need regular brushing to maintain it.
