Jax is a 1.5 year old papillon mix. He is about 10 lbs and an absolute  joy in his foster home!  He is the total package!  He is handsome, loving, playful and kind. 

He came to us heartworm positive! He has been treated and will need to remain on medication (year round) for his lifetime but he is otherwise a healthy, happy little guy! 

Jax loves other playful dogs and he loves people.  When he is not playing he is on the couch glued to his foster mom.  He is leash trained and walks perfectly!  He is just a happy go lucky boy who loves life.  He appears housebroken but did Mark once the first day he came in to his foster home.  Lots of new smells which is overwhelming to a new pup!  He was corrected once and was never caught doing it again.  

In Texas they said he barked a lot.  We have not found that here unless he is crated.  Although he will go in it, he does not enjoy it at all.  Due to that possibility we will not be placing him in an apartment.  

Jax is also a great traveler.  He sits in his bed nicely while in the car.  He likes going anywhere and doing anything as long as he is with you.  

He has not been cat tested but due to his gentle nature and kind demeanor we don’t think there would be any issues.  He has been around a 9 year old child and did fine there to!  

Truly Jax is what we call a “plug in dog” in rescue.  He needed very little work as he came to us so wonderful already! We assume he had a family who must have loved and cared for him previously.  He is a cute dog with a wonderful personality who would make a great addition to almost any home!  If you think Jax is a match for you please apply!  He will not be in rescue long thats for sure

Jax is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated.  His adoption fee is $400
