Lucy is a lean, mean agile machine!  She has legs for miles!  We believe she is a 1-2 year old Manchester terrier/ chihuahua mix. She can jump a 3.5 foot gate from a sitting position.  Who knows what she can clear with a running start!  This dog is so athletic she would do extremely well with an active family!  Hiking, agility, running would all be perfect for Lucy!  She is super smart and would excel at anything put in front of her!

Lucy came to us from Texas as an owner surrender.  She was about to get spayed when her foster mom thought she might be pregnant.  Sure enough Lucy gave birth to 3 little boys on 10/01/2020!  The boys are ready to find their forever homes and Lucy is to!  She was an amazing mom and so much fun.  She made the foster moms job easy for sure. 

Lucy is the funniest little dog.  She gets along with most of the dogs in her foster home but can be a rough,  dominant player.  Some dogs love it and others don’t so if you have another dog please take this into consideration.  Lucy appears to be housebroken with a doggy door and fully fenced yard but we always say please expect accidents while she acclimates to a new home and routine.   We would like to place Lucy in a home with a fully fenced yard (no invisible or electric fences) and no chain link.  

Lucy walks pretty well on a leash and is good in the car.  She loves her family and truly wants to do anything to please you.  She can be shy initially when new people come over and sometimes will even bark at them but she recovers pretty quickly especially for a treat.  She has been around children with no issues and had been in a home with cats and she was okay with them. 

Lucy has been through a lot and is looking for her forever home!  She is very sweet and extremely eager to please.  She loves to be loved and will curl up on your lap for a nap or snuggle in bed with you at night.  She listens very well and we are so excited for her to have a chance at a loving home.  If this is with you please apply!
