Please meet the Marvelous Miss Maisie!  Maisie is just about to turn 2 years old and weighs 50 pounds.  Maisie is a  lab mix.  

Maisie is a smart girl!  Her foster mom has been amazed at how quickly she is able to pick up commands and new routines.  She loves to be outside - no matter the weather!  Snow, rain or sun that girl is ready to play.  Maisie is nervous when meeting new people initially but that quickly dissipates, especially if there is a little cheese involved.  She has a huge bark - no apartments.  She will greet you on her back feet and looks for attention and love from you.  She can also be a counter sweeper so you have to be prepared for that!  Maisie is house trained and will let you know when she wants to go outside.  She is sometimes hard to get back in but her foster mom developed a routine of recall, crate and treat.  That skill will need to be reinforced in her new home.  She is nicely crate trained also.  She will guard some of her special items if she is in her crate with a big bark - dogs only, not humans.  She is very gentle and affectionate to people.  She loves to play with other dogs but can get rough sometimes.  Maisie walks on a leash but she is very strong and pulls.  Her foster home uses a pinch collar and that is a huge help.  She loves to walk trails and her nose is always to the ground gathering scents.  Maisie is nervous in new situations but her foster mom is trying to socialize her as much as possible.  We are asking for a fully fenced yard for her, 6 Ft privacy (NO ELECTRIC or INVISABLE fences).  She is very agile and can clear 3-4 foot gates like a gazelle.  Maisie is smart and if there is a way out, she will find it.  Maisie would love an active family or person to hang out with - once she knows and trusts you, you got a friend for life!

Maisie is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $400.
