Learn more about the Chihuahua.

Trey is a sweet little old man that is looking for a place to spend his golden years.  Trey was dumped off at a shelter in Texas because "13 years old is just too old" and when we were asked to help, we couldn't say no.  No dog deserves to be dumped especially a senior.  Trey was loyal to his family for many years and when he needed them the most, they left him to die in a cold shelter.

Trey is a tiny guy, not quite 6 pounds.  Like most older dogs, he enjoys sleeping the day away!  He really likes a comfy bed and a warm blanket.  He is really going to enjoy it once winter comes!  Trey gets along with other little dogs and will often cuddle with them.  He loves to sleep with his foster mom, all snuggled up to her.   He  is a little crooked in his walk but he can get around fine.  He is not able to do stairs so he must be carried.  Trey likes to go outside with the other dogs to potty!  He will also need access to potty pods due to his medication and the cold winter months coming.  He has no issues with cats.  Trey is gentle and friendly, quick to give kisses to everyone.  He is happy to be a little lap dog!  His big eyes look so happy every time he sees his foster mom.  Trey is just grateful to be loved right now.

Trey is a senior and has some medical issues that need ongoing care.  He has a heart murmur and is on 2 medications right now.  He feel so much better now that he is!  Trey also had a dental and that helped him perk up too.  His eyes are a bit cloudy due to his age but he can see fine. His bloodwork came back great with no concerns for a senior dog.  All he needs now is a forever home that will not throw him away again.

Trey is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  He has had a dental too.  Trey had a full work up at our vet locally with xrays and bloodwork.  His adoption fee is $125
