Rex is still available for adoption!  He is such a sweet boy, very affectionate.  And a good little watch dog.  Rex would love a home where he will get a lot of attention and love.  He is good on a leash and is crate trained.  He really likes his crate and sleeps the day away there when he is not snuggled up on my lap! 


8/27/09 - Rex is a foster home favorite!  He is very smart and sweet.  One of the most affectionate and loving dogs in the bunch.  Rex is crate trained and very well behaved out of the crate too.  He is so sweet, he really just wants some people that will dote on him!  He is playful too - he loves to play ball and with the stuffed toys.  If you are looking for a well mannered little man, Rexican the Mexican is the dog for you.

Rex is a 5 year old male chihuahua mix, we think w/ Rat Terrier.  He is so sweet and cuddley - I really believe he is grateful that he is in rescue!!   We had to give him a new name in honor of his new life.   He is an owner turn in to a local shelter that contacted us for foster care.  He was kept in the basement, fed Ol Roy and never outside or taken for walks!   his owner said he would not stay in the yard - well do you blame him for trying to escape!!   Now he has a yard, other dogs to play with and lots of love and attention from his foster family.  He loves to be with people and really is a sweet little lap dog.  Rex is friendly with people and the other dogs here, he does not seem to mind cats.  He is doing well with his housetraining too although there may be some accidents which is to be expected.   Rex is crate trained and also does well on walks - he will bark a bit at other dogs and people but we are working with him and he is coming along great.  If you think you can give this little guy a home where he is given the love and attention he deserves and is not confined to a basement - please fill out an application!  

Rex is neutered, up to date with shots, heartworm neg, wormed, flea treated and had a dental.
