Pretty little Poppy!  Poppy is a terrier mix, 7 months old and about 9 pounds.  Poppy is a Texas transplant and is loving her new life in NY!

Poppy came to us with her sister Luna, 2 very scared and nervous puppies.  With lots of time and patience, both girls started to Blossom in their foster home.  Poppy has come a long way since she arrived!  She is still shy with new people but is getting better every day.  She is playful with other dogs and loves to get into her foster mom's stuff!  She is good with cats.  Poppy is crate trained but is not leash trained at all. Poppy will need a secure fully fenced yard (No invisible fences) at the time of adoption and at least one other playful dog to show her the ropes.  We will not consider any home without both of these conditions.  Poppy is working on her housetraining and will need more training.  She uses potty pads in her foster home too.  Poppy loves toys and chewies!  She is a bit of a hoarder with them as everything ends up in her bed or crate!  Poppy loves to be outside.  Poppy is submissive - she immediately rolls on her back showing her belly when she is picked up.  She sunbathes that way too!  Poppy is vocal and has the typical terrier bark.  She will bark at new people and anything that takes her by surprise. Poppy has not been around children in her foster home.  Older, calmer kids would be best (12+) as she will likely be nervous at first.  

Poppy is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, and flea/worm treated.  Her adoption fee is $400
