Let me introduce the world to Albert AKA Albie!  This tiny guy is from a local shelter and needed help due to the ongoing Corona Virus situation.  Well, he was quite the hot mess at that time.  We immediately got him a homemade groom (not a bad job either!) and he became a brand new dog instantly.  We believe he is a papillon mix - maybe with poodle or Maltese.  We are not sure of his exact age - small dogs have are notorious for having bad teeth and his were terrible.  So we are going to guesstimate about 3-5 years old.  

We aren't sure of Albie's past but our guess is it wasn't great due to his condition.  He was super sensitive of other dogs and people walking by him when he first came to his foster home and he would hide under a chair a lot. It has improved a lot and the more he knows he's safe and won't get hurt, the more secure he gets.  And there are other times he gets all brave and full of himself and tries to pick on a bigger dog!  He loves to chase in the yard.   Albie is very friendly and happy though!  He loves people!  He is getting used to cats but still is dramatic with them - like it's kinda ridiculous how scared he can get for no reason with them.  Kids would be fine but we suspect if there is a lot of running or action, he will get scared.  Albie is not housetrained - he is recently neutered and it takes some time especially since he was not well tended to previously.  He has a fully fenced yard in his foster home so that helps - he is not a fan of the rainy weather lol.  Albie is crate trained and started learning to walk on a leash.  Albie has a BIG bark - he does not look like he can make that much noise but he does.  Apartments would not be ideal for him.  Albie will need regular grooming throughout his life so please take that into consideration too.  

We think Albie has a lot of potential if given time, training and love.  And don't we all have a lot of that lately?  He is very sweet, happy and loving!  You couldn't ask for a nicer boy that got a bum deal at the beginning of his life but we promise him that is all in the past and things are definitely brighter now!
