This is Nellie!  Isn't she just adorable?  Nellie is just right, not too big, not too small, with a touch of energy that makes her fit in many homes.  And check out her spots; one is in the shape of a heart.  Nellie traveled all the way from Texas in the hopes of finding her forever home.  We can't believe this love bug was left behind by her previous family.  

Nellie is an amazingly loving little girl.  She is shy at first with new people, but after a few treats, Nellie is your best friend.  All she wants to do is snuggle on the couch with you and watch TV.  In fact, wherever you are, Nellie is sure to be close by.  She is starting to play with toys in her foster home.  She is starting to play with toys in her foster home.  Nellie is crate trained and she appears to be housebroken with a fenced in yard.  As usual though, always expect accidents during the initial adjustment period.  Nellie does get along well with other dogs but she does not seem to have much interest in playing with them.  We think a nice quiet relaxed home would be best for her.  We have noticed that Nellie is nervous around smaller children, so a home with kids over 12 would be best for her.  Smaller kids, with sudden movements, make her hide.  If small kids are coming for a visit, Nellie is happy to spend some time in her crate.  Currently, Nellie is working on her leash training and is progressing well.  She is also getting used to going for rides in the car.  So lots of positive trips to the pet store may be in order for this pumpkin.  Nellie's favorite activity is rolling on the bed.  It's become a nightly ritual in her foster home.  She rolls and runs on the bed every night for at least 10 minutes.  She just makes us laugh.  If you think Nellie would be a good fit for your home, please make sure you apply today.  This cutie pie won't be around long.
