Franks, Frankie, Frankenstein, whatever you decide to call him, this little guy will be right beside you. Poor little Franks was found as a stray down in Texas. We couldn’t believe no one claimed him at the shelter. Franks is a little shy at first but he tends to warm up quickly. And once he does, this little man is always right beside you. He is a typical pug, always wanting your attention, full of kisses, and snuggles. At night, he is pressed right up against his foster mama all night. There is no such thing as “privacy or personal space” when it comes to Franks. Turn around and there he is, if you are sitting watching TV, he’s on your lap, taking a shower he’s right there waiting for you. Franks is the perfect combination of fun and chill. He loves to play with his toys and go for walks, but then he’s right there on the couch with you.  Franks is fully crate trained and is working hard on his house training. With time and consistency, he should be just fine in no time. Franks has been around kids as young as 8 and did just fine. We did notice that he is more nervous around men, and takes longer to trust them. He would prefer a home with another dog to help with the adjustment, but it is not required.

 While in Texas, Franks tested positive for heartworm. We had him treated by our rescue partners, and he now ready for his forever home. Franks will need to be on heartworm preventative for the remainder of his life, otherwise he healthy.
